Fatal Tuscaloosa crash death of Demetrius Darnell Wilson – Obituary
A 29-year-old man from Tuscaloosa lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while walking along a roadway on Friday.
Demetrius Darnell Wilson was traveling on foot southbound near the 5400 block of Old Montgomery Highway, not far from Skyland Boulevard, when the incident occurred around midday.
According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, Wilson was hit by a truck and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities confirmed that the driver involved remained at the scene following the collision.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
