Fatal Greenville County car crash death of David Hernandez – Obituary
David Hernandez, 22, of Greenville, lost his life early Sunday morning after a crash that occurred while he was reportedly fleeing from law enforcement in Greenville County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident happened at approximately 4:59 a.m. along North Main Street near Kenwood Lane. Authorities stated that officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop involving Hernandez, though no physical contact was made with his vehicle.
Investigators say Hernandez was driving a 2013 Nissan sedan northbound on North Main Street when he veered off the roadway and crashed into a brick wall. He sustained fatal injuries as a result of the impact.
Officials confirmed that an autopsy was scheduled for Monday as part of the ongoing investigation. Both the Greenville County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
