A woman lost her life in an early morning crash in Michigan’s Thumb region, according to local authorities. Lindsey L. Miller, 40, was found dead after her vehicle was discovered in a ditch in Huron County.
The Huron County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred around 3:26 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, along Berne Road in Oliver Township. A passerby came across a severely damaged Pontiac G6 and stopped to check on the situation.
Upon inspection, the individual found Miller, the sole occupant of the vehicle, who had been ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe excessive speed may have caused Miller to lose control of the vehicle before it left the roadway and ended up in the ditch.
Authorities say the crash remains under investigation as they continue to gather more details.
