Two people lost their lives in a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 north in Cobb County, Georgia, involving a Papa John’s semitruck. Authorities identified the victims as 28-year-old Zory Beavers and 42-year-old Royan Osborne, both occupants of the semitruck.
According to Cobb County police, the crash occurred when a Freightliner semitruck failed to maintain its lane and collided with another Freightliner. As the first truck moved back toward the right lane, a pickup truck pulling a trailer struck its rear, causing the Papa John’s semitruck to lose control, overturn, and collide with a sound barrier.
The drivers of the other vehicles involved were not injured. I-75 north remained closed for several hours while authorities cleared the scene and investigated the fatal accident.
