David Donald Ducado Menton, 42, of Solon Springs, Wis., was fatally shot by a police officer during a confrontation in a residential area of Superior on the evening of April 7. Emergency responders attempted to provide medical assistance, but Menton was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice, the incident began when officers encountered Menton, who was wanted for an unspecified reason, along with two other individuals.
