Fatal Hollywood 101 Freeway crash death of Marcus Edmonds – Obituary
Authorities have identified the pedestrian who lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on the Hollywood (101) Freeway. Marcus Edmonds, 42, died as a result of blunt force injuries, according to the Medical Examiner’s office.
The incident occurred around 12:42 a.m. Thursday when California Highway Patrol officers responded to reports of a person down on the northbound side of the freeway near the Gower Street on-ramp. Upon arrival, officers found Edmonds lying in one of the traffic lanes.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet determined the circumstances leading up to the collision, and the investigation remains ongoing.
