Authorities in Tulare County have confirmed the identity of a man who lost his life in a weekend shooting in Goshen as 33-year-old Marco Cazarez.
Deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched early Saturday morning to the area of Goshen Avenue and Road 76 following reports that multiple people had been shot. When officers arrived around 5:30 a.m., they discovered Cazarez had already died from his injuries, while another male victim had been struck in the face and survived.
Shortly after the initial response, law enforcement learned of a third person involved who had independently traveled to a nearby hospital for medical treatment after sustaining a gunshot wound.
Investigators have not released any details regarding possible suspects or a motive, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under active investigation.
