Authorities have confirmed that 26-year-old Lexi Bohringer from Sloansville lost her life following a police pursuit that ended in a crash on Wednesday morning in Johnstown.

According to state police, the incident began around 10:45 a.m. when Bohringer failed to pull over for officers near the intersection of Mason Street and North Market Street. The situation escalated into a pursuit as she continued driving through the area.

During the chase, her vehicle struck a utility pole along Parkwood Avenue but did not stop. She continued on before colliding head-on with a tractor-trailer traveling in the opposite direction on State Route 30A.

After the impact, Bohringer’s vehicle caught fire. Emergency responders removed her from the wreckage, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured in the crash.

Investigators also reported that Bohringer was found in possession of a controlled substance and a glass smoking device containing drug residue. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
