Authorities have identified a 92-year-old woman who lost her life following a crash in Anderson County, South Carolina on Friday.
Dorothy Sears Moore, a resident of Pendleton, was confirmed as the victim by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office. Officials stated her death has been ruled accidental.
Preliminary findings indicate Moore was driving along Perimeter Road when she entered a lane on Highway 76 and was struck by another vehicle.
Emergency crews responded to the crash shortly after 4 p.m. Moore was found in critical condition and airlifted to Prisma Health in Greenville for treatment. Despite medical efforts, she later died from her injuries.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office, along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
