West Twp., located in Columbiana County, Ohio, authorities reported a fatality Saturday night following a significant collision on State Route 172. The incident involved a tanker truck and a passenger vehicle.

The individual who passed away has been confirmed as Diane Lewallan, aged 42, identified as residing in Tennessee.

This unfortunate event transpired around 8 p.m. near Zepernick Lake. According to statements from law enforcement, the commercial tanker truck lost control, moving off the road. It then overcorrected, crossing into the opposing lane where it collided with a Ford Bronco.

Both the tanker and the Bronco sustained severe impacts before rolling multiple times. Tragically, Diane Lewallan, the operator of the Bronco, was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency responders.

The other occupants of the Bronco and the driver of the tanker truck were provided medical treatment at a Canton-area hospital. Their injuries are reported as non-critical. Ohio State Troopers have stated that preliminary investigations do not indicate drug or alcohol impairment played a role in this ongoing case.
