Fatal Franklin County shooting death of Bryan Radford – Obituary
Bryan Radford, 56, was shot and killed by law enforcement during an incident in Franklin County, Kentucky, on January 31. Kentucky State Police are leading the investigation into the officer-involved shooting.
According to KSP, officers from the Frankfort Police Department and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office were responding to a report of gunfire at a residence on Ridgeview Drive around 5:50 p.m. When they arrived, Radford was encountered outside the home before going back inside and then returning with a handgun, police said.
Investigators stated that officers fired their weapons after Radford came back outside armed. He was struck by gunfire, and despite attempts to provide first aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
No law enforcement officers were injured during the incident. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains ongoing.
