Elizabeth Fike dies in fatal Uniontown death

Fatal Uniontown death of Elizabeth Fike

Uniontown authorities have reported the death of a 44-year-old woman discovered inside her residence Thursday morning. Elizabeth Fike was pronounced deceased in her home located at North Gallatin around 8:57 a.m.

According to Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker, the death is currently under investigation due to the severe state of the dwelling and the apparent extreme lack of proper care. Baker stated the official cause and manner of death are still pending.

Baker issued a statement acknowledging the assistance received from Uniontown Firefighters, the Uniontown Police Department, and Fayette EMS. “We appreciate their help today,” Baker noted. He also extended condolences to Fike’s family, asking for their prayers as they process this tragic loss.
