Fatal Overland shooting death of Kenyon Williams
The preliminary investigation into this incident reveals that law enforcement in District 1 received a report of a shooting around 5:00 AM on October 4, 2025, in the 3800 block of Tesson Court.
According to initial findings, a resident encountered two individuals attempting to steal vehicles. During this confrontation, the suspects retrieved a weapon. The resident responded by firing at the fleeing suspects.
One of the individuals involved in the vehicle theft was struck by the gunfire and pronounced dead at the scene. The second suspect involved in the theft managed to escape. Fortunately, the resident who fired at the suspects was not injured.
Homicide Detectives have secured the scene and are actively pursuing leads in this investigation. The individual who was shot and killed has now been identified as Kenyon Williams, an 18-year-old from Overland. Evidence collection, including the recovery of a weapon, continues.
