The Champaign County Coroner’s Office, led by Laurie Brauer, has formally identified Patricia A. Hood, a 52-year-old resident of Danville, as the individual who lost her life. Her demise resulted from injuries she received in a serious collision involving multiple vehicles along State Route 1.

Officials at Carle Hospital announced that Ms. Hood was pronounced deceased on the afternoon of October 15, at precisely 3:26 p.m. A formal autopsy examination has been arranged as part of the ongoing investigation.
