WXYZ reports that authorities have confirmed the identities of the three men who perished when their aircraft went down in the Rose Lake State Wildlife Area. Bath Township Police unveiled the findings from their probe during a press briefing held on Sunday.

The small aircraft crashed around 5 p.m. on Thursday in the Rose Lake State Wildlife Area. The subsequent fire resulted in the deaths of all three individuals onboard.

Emergency personnel encountered significant obstacles in reaching the crash location, a remote, forested region lacking road access.
“Responders utilized saws and substantial manpower to cut through the vegetation and establish a path, ultimately locating and reaching the crash site,” stated Bath Township Fire Department Chief Mark Koonter.
“Our chief and I visited the crash location on the evening of the incident,” commented township supervisor Ryan Fewins-Bliss. “The dedication, focus, and personal sacrifices shown by the team were truly impressive.”
The Mexican Consulate has officially identified the three victims:
Rodolfo Pimentel Zamora, serving as a pilot
Francisco Del Moral Jimenez, functioning as a pilot
Alvaro Espejo Javier Rodriguez, employed as a mechanic
Both the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board remain present at the scene conducting their investigation. Cleanup operations are projected to be completed within the upcoming days.
