Fatal Niles pedestrian accident death of Kim Chang – Obituary
Kim Chang, an 84-year-old man from Lincolnwood, died Tuesday morning after being hit by a vehicle while crossing Touhy Avenue. The crash occurred around 6:08 a.m. on the 5600 block, where Chang was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk when a westbound vehicle struck him.
He was rushed to Lutheran General Hospital with critical injuries but later succumbed to them. Niles Police, with support from the Major Crash Assistance Team, are investigating the incident, and traffic on Touhy Avenue was temporarily closed while authorities conducted their investigation.
