Fatal Malibu pedestrian crash death of Norberto Guevara Jr. – Obituary

Norberto Guevara Jr., 31, was struck and killed on Pacific Coast Highway near Paradise Cove in Malibu Monday evening. Deputies from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station responded around 7:30 p.m., and Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Guevara’s identity Tuesday. Authorities reported that both northbound and southbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours following the collision. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement, while the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
