Authorities have identified 21-year-old Payzlii Wilson as the woman who lost her life following a traffic collision on Interstate 35E near the Oak Cliff area of Dallas last month.
According to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office, Payzlii Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 4:04 a.m. after the crash occurred during the early morning hours.
Officials previously reported that the incident happened on February 25 along Interstate 35E near the intersections of Illinois Avenue and Louisiana Avenue. The crash involved only one vehicle.
Traffic cameras from the Texas Department of Transportation showed emergency responders blocking several highway lanes around 3:13 a.m. Fire trucks and other crews surrounded the wrecked vehicle, which had come to a stop close to the highway median.
Investigators said Wilson was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Another passenger was transported to a nearby hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities have not yet released additional details about what caused the crash as the investigation continues.
