Authorities in Lubbock have identified 33-year-old Timothy Bond Jr. as the motorcyclist who died following a crash on Friday evening.
Police reported that the incident occurred around 6 p.m. at the intersection of 42nd Street and Memphis Avenue. Bond was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said Bond was traveling north on Memphis Avenue in the 4200 block when he lost control of his motorcycle. Officials noted that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident, including whether another vehicle may have been involved.
