Investigators confirmed a pedestrian was killed in an intersection collision in Jackson County late Tuesday evening. The Mississippi Highway Patrol provided the details, identifying the deceased as Alicia Campbell, a 46-year-old resident of Moss Point.

The fatal accident occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. A 2012 Nissan Juke, moving northbound, is reported to have struck Campbell. First responders arrived promptly at the scene and pronounced Campbell dead due to her severe injuries.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol will continue to examine the incident to determine the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
