A person determined to have taken their own life was located near the Disney World Contemporary Resort. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office became aware of this situation after receiving a notification about a body around 6:40 PM on Tuesday, October 14th at North World Drive, Lake Buena Vista.

The medical examiner’s office officially identified the individual as Summer Equitz, who was 31 years old. The official determination of the cause of death stated it resulted from several impacts causing injuries to multiple parts of the body.

According to various sources, Ms. Equitz had been reported missing from her home in Illinois earlier in the day. Approximately ten months had passed since she shared news of her pregnancy with others.

Social media platforms contained reports from some individuals who claimed the death was caused by a monorail collision. However, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement clarifying that the monorail was not involved in this incident.

A representative from the sheriff’s office mentioned that they would not be releasing additional details about this case of self-inflicted death, as is standard procedure.
