A man originally from Louisville has tragically passed away following a devastating incident. The accident occurred on Dixie Highway in Meade County.

Kentucky State Police released their initial findings for the event, which happened on Sunday at approximately 6 a.m. Officials stated that a sedan was moving northbound on Dixie Highway when it collided with a pedestrian. The identified individual was Troy Jackson, who was 34 years old and also a Louisville resident.

According to the Meade County Coroner’s Office, Jackson lost his life at the scene due to the injuries sustained.

The driver of the sedan was transported to a medical facility in Elizabethtown, where doctors confirmed they were dealing with minor injuries.
