Fatal Shelby County car crash death of Sarah I. Ratliff – Obituary
Sarah I. Ratliff, 70, of Leeds, passed away Friday morning following a single-vehicle accident in Shelby County. The crash occurred around 6:44 a.m. on Shelby County 43 near Old Deer Creek Road.
According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) troopers, Ratliff’s Lexus veered off the roadway and overturned. She was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at Grandview Medical Center.
Investigators with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
