Fatal Auburn Gresham, Chicago shooting death of Robert S. Parker and Diane C. Fisher – Obituary
Robert S. Parker, 37, and Diane C. Fisher, 44, were killed in a double shooting last Monday afternoon in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood of Chicago, authorities reported.
The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. on the 8500 block of South Aberdeen Street, where both victims were sitting in a parked GMC SUV. Witnesses said a group of individuals approached the vehicle on foot and began shooting.
Parker was struck twice in the head and transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at 5:01 p.m. Fisher suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she later died Thursday morning. A 27-year-old man also in the SUV was unharmed.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled both deaths as homicides. No suspects have been taken into custody, and detectives continue to investigate. Parker’s family has appealed to the public for help in identifying those responsible.
Authorities are also looking into whether the shooting is connected to other recent gang-related activity in the area.
