Fatal Lexington County crash death of Elaina Lynn Valencia – Obituary
A tragic collision in Lexington County claimed the life of 39-year-old Elaina Lynn Valencia on Saturday evening, authorities confirmed.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 7:10 p.m. on U.S. Highway 1 near Jamestowne Court, involving a Ford van and a Ford pickup truck traveling in opposite directions. Investigators said the pickup crossed the center line and struck the van.
Coroner Margaret Fisher confirmed that Ms. Valencia, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. Three other individuals sustained injuries in the accident: the driver and passenger of the van, as well as the passenger of the pickup truck. All were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the fatal crash.
