Phoenix police have identified 49-year-old Alanna Duval Cziperle as the person who lost her life following a late-night traffic collision on March 6.
According to authorities, officers were dispatched around 2:40 a.m. to the intersection of 32nd Street and Bell Road after receiving reports of a serious crash. When emergency responders arrived, they found multiple people injured at the scene.
Cziperle was pronounced dead as a result of the collision. Two adult men who were also involved in the crash suffered critical injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Investigators said early findings suggest that Cziperle was attempting to make a left turn onto Deer Valley Drive when her vehicle collided with another car that was traveling eastbound along the roadway. Police noted that excessive speed may have played a role in the crash.
Officials stated that any potential charges connected to the incident will not be determined until investigators finish a full reconstruction and review of the collision.
