Authorities in Phoenix have identified 49-year-old Alanna Duval Cziperle as the woman who died following a crash that occurred during the early morning hours of March 6.
Phoenix police reported that officers were dispatched around 2:40 a.m. to the intersection near 32nd Street and Bell Road after receiving reports of a collision.
Investigators said Alanna Duval Cziperle was driving a vehicle that attempted to make a left turn onto Deer Valley Drive when it struck another vehicle traveling east along Deer Valley Drive. According to preliminary findings from police, excessive speed may have contributed to the crash.
Cziperle died as a result of the collision. Two adult men who were also involved in the crash were transported to a nearby hospital and were listed in critical condition.
Police stated that a full reconstruction of the crash is underway, and any decisions regarding potential charges will be determined after the investigation has been completed.
