A late-night shooting in the south Las Vegas Valley claimed the life of 20-year-old Danaijha Robinson on March 2, 2026. Alongside her, a toddler was also fatally shot inside a vehicle in the 11000 block of Victoria Medici Street near Starr Avenue and Dean Martin Drive.
Police said the shooting occurred just after 9 p.m., with officers already nearby following a routine traffic stop when the gunfire erupted. Responding officers located Robinson and the toddler inside the vehicle, which had been struck multiple times, and provided medical attention before both were pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Investigators have not publicly identified the shooter. A source connected to the investigation noted that the vehicle involved in the traffic stop was linked to the car where the victims were killed. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Section or Crime Stoppers.
Neighbors described hearing multiple gunshots and witnessing the immediate police response, leaving the community shaken by the violent event. The investigation remains active, and law enforcement is continuing to collect evidence and interview potential witnesses.
