Authorities have identified Tiften Griffin as the bicyclist who lost his life following a crash in Brooks County, Georgia last week. The fatal Brooks County, Georgia car crash that claimed the life of Tiften Griffin happened on Thursday, March 5, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Investigators say the incident occurred along Highway 76 North close to Campground Church Road. The Brooks County Sheriff’s Office reported that Griffin died at the scene of the collision.
Griffin, whose full name was Tiften Willis Griffin and who was affectionately known as Tiften by family and friends, passed away on March 5, 2026, in Morven.
Following the tragic loss, Griffin’s relatives created a GoFundMe campaign to help raise money for funeral costs.
Officials have not yet released additional details about the crash. WALB has contacted the Georgia State Patrol for further information, including whether the investigation could lead to any charges.
