A father of two young children was killed in a hit-and-run crash involving a semi-truck in Bradenton on Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was struck on April 22 just after 6 a.m. on U.S. 41 near Cortez Road West. The semi-truck driver fled the scene without stopping.
The man’s partner told WKRG that he leaves behind two young children and described the loss as “unimaginable.”
Troopers are investigating the crash and asking anyone with information to contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
