Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who lost his life in a two-vehicle collision in Gates. The victim was 31-year-old Scott Kruppenbacher of Greece.
According to Gates police, the crash occurred shortly after 6:45 a.m. on Elmgrove Road, just north of Spencerport Road. Investigators say the motorcycle Kruppenbacher was riding collided with a pickup truck.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found Kruppenbacher unresponsive on the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials confirmed.
The driver of the pickup was not injured and is cooperating with authorities as the investigation continues.
Kruppenbacher, a graduate of the Hilton Central School District, worked as a mechanic and was also skilled in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. He was remembered as someone with a strong love for life, known for his kindness, patience, and dedication to his family.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward with information as they continue their investigation.
