Authorities have identified Demarco Wallace as the victim who lost his life following a triple shooting in the Fox Meadows area of Memphis.
Police responded to reports of gunfire around 4:30 p.m. on April 16 at a Valero gas station near Knight Arnold Road and South Mendenhall Road. Officers found three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds, all of whom were transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. Wallace later died from his injuries.
Investigators arrested 21-year-old Travis Richardson in connection with the shooting. According to police, surveillance footage shows Richardson approaching a nearby vape store armed with two firearms before opening fire on the victims and fleeing the scene.
Additional video evidence allegedly captured a damaged silver Infiniti linked to the suspect, with footage showing someone matching the shooter’s description returning to the vehicle after the attack. Authorities later located the car at an apartment complex, where Richardson was taken into custody. A handgun was reportedly recovered during the arrest.
Richardson now faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, and several firearm-related offenses.
The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
