An accident occurring on Tuesday morning in Lee County, South Carolina, resulted in the death of a pedestrian, reported the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The Lee County Coroner’s office later identified the deceased individual as Leroy Eugene Davis, who was 74 years old.

Law enforcement details indicate the incident involved pedestrian activity on US-15. The victim was crossing the road northbound on foot when a large Mack truck, driving northbound, struck them. A second vehicle was also observed traveling southbound on US-15 at the scene. This second car reportedly collided with the pedestrian before departing the accident area.

Leroy Eugene Davis succumbed to his life-threatening injuries immediately following the collision, as confirmed by officials.
