Scott McKeever dies in fatal Beaufort County, South Carolina pedestrian crash

Fatal Beaufort County, South Carolina pedestrian crash death of Scott McKeever – Obituary

Scott McKeever, 48, of Bluffton, South Carolina, died Monday evening after being struck by a tractor-trailer, authorities confirmed.

According to the Beaufort County Coroner’s Office, McKeever suffered blunt force injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred just after 8:10 p.m. on US 17, shortly after the truck passed River Road.

Master Trooper Joseph Rowell reported that a 1999 Peterbilt tractor-trailer traveling northbound came upon McKeever, who was standing in the roadway. The impact caused fatal injuries, while the truck driver was unharmed.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
