Fatal Cedar Hill, Texas shooting death of Sharon Neumann – Obituary

Sharon Neumann, 61, was shot and killed on U.S. Highway 67 in Cedar Hill on January 9, authorities reported. The incident occurred as Neumann exited a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Gage Harvey.

Cedar Hill police said the situation began after a call reporting gunfire at a vehicle in the 400 block of U.S. 67 around 8 p.m. Officers located the car described by the caller stopped on the highway shoulder. When Neumann stepped out of the vehicle, Harvey allegedly shot her. Two responding officers then fired at Harvey after he emerged holding a firearm.

Neumann was pronounced dead at the scene, while Harvey was taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where he later died. Authorities continue to review the events leading up to the shooting.
