Jennifer Hathorn dies in fatal Chateaugay car crash

Fatal Chateaugay car crash death of Jennifer Hathorn – Obituary

Jennifer Hathorn, 49, of Chateaugay, was killed in a car accident in Northern New York on Wednesday. The crash occurred on Route 11 just after noon when the vehicle she was riding in left the roadway.

Authorities report that the driver, 24-year-old Ryan Bordeau of Malone, was traveling westbound when he lost control of the car. Hathorn, who was the passenger, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.

Police determined that Bordeau was driving under the influence, with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit. He was arrested, arraigned on manslaughter charges, and later released pending further proceedings.
