Fatal Hamilton County shooting death of Merris Kelley – Obituary

Merris Kelley, 31, was shot and killed Tuesday evening in the parking lot of a Steak ‘N Shake at 4949 Ridge Avenue in Hamilton County. The incident occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m., according to local authorities.

Cincinnati police reported that officers arriving on the scene found Kelley suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.

One person was detained in connection with the shooting, but authorities are still investigating their involvement. The Steak ‘N Shake was closed at the time of the incident. The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding Kelley’s death.
