Mary Ann Schwartz, along with her two adult children, Sol Archambault and Aislynne Coffaro, tragically lost their lives in a house fire in Ohio nearly two weeks ago.

The fire broke out while Schwartz was preparing dinner, though the exact cause remains unknown. Schwartz’s middle son, Dylan Schwartz Archambault, explained that his mother attempted to get help to rescue her children but ultimately re-entered the house to save them herself, perishing in the flames.

Neighbors tried to aid in the rescue, throwing water on the fire, but despite the efforts of more than 50 firefighters, the blaze proved too intense. Schwartz Archambault has expressed his gratitude for the neighbors’ attempts and hopes the tragedy serves as a reminder for others to prioritize fire safety and create a fire escape plan.
