Renette Baker, 70, of Marina, has died after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Walgreens on Reservation Road Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. when a vehicle traveling through the lot hit both Baker and a parked car. Emergency responders provided immediate medical aid at the scene, and Baker was rushed to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver remained on-site and is fully cooperating with investigators. Preliminary reports indicate that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. The investigation is still ongoing.
