A fatal crash occurred in Furnas County on Wednesday, Jan. 21, around 10:44 p.m., when 35-year-old Alicia Tracy, of Arapahoe, lost control of her vehicle. Deputies from the Furnas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, where they found Tracy’s 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck in a ditch, severely damaged after rolling over. Tracy, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, had been ejected during the crash. Despite life-saving efforts by Arapahoe EMS, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Tracy was traveling southbound on Road 425 when she lost control of the vehicle, which led to the rollover. Speed and alcohol are being considered potential contributing factors, with alcohol testing still pending. The investigation also includes a forensic download of the vehicle’s data recorder.
