On January 29, 2026, 32-year-old Dustin B. Saunders from Troy, Kansas, tragically lost his life in a car crash on K7 highway, just north of Atchison. The crash occurred around 10:34 p.m. when Saunders’ 2001 Ford F-150 left the road, struck a tree, and spun around before coming to a stop in the east ditch of the highway.
