Fatal San Antonio trash truck incident death of Ziba Mir Shadad – Obituary

Ziba Mir Shadad, a 15-year-old Marshall High School student, was found dead Sunday morning in the parking lot of the Camaron Townhomes and Flats in San Antonio after being struck by a commercial trash collection truck. Police reported that the driver, following his normal route, was unaware of the collision.

Authorities said calls for help began around 6 a.m., and it is believed the teen’s body had been in the lot for over an hour before being discovered by emergency responders.

SAPD Sgt. Rogelio Cardenas confirmed the family was notified immediately, and police are reviewing video footage which shows the incident appears accidental, with no other vehicles involved. School counselors have been made available to support students in the aftermath.
