Lincoln Sabini, a 20-year-old UC Davis student from Sacramento, has been identified following a deadly collision while he was riding his bicycle near campus.
According to the Solano County Coroner’s Office, Sabini was fatally injured on Hutchinson Drive near the West Village area after being struck by a vehicle on Monday afternoon.
Police say Sabini was cycling in the vicinity of student housing when the crash occurred. Emergency crews responded quickly and transported him to a hospital, but he later died from his injuries.
Officials noted that Sabini was a sophomore at UC Davis and a graduate of McClatchy High School in Sacramento.
UC Davis Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, and authorities have not yet released further details about what led to the collision.
