Authorities have confirmed the identity of a motorcyclist who was killed in a crash earlier this week in Gates.
Police say 31-year-old Scott Kruppenbacher of Greece died following the collision, which occurred Monday morning along Elmgrove Road between Deming Street and Spencerport Road. Officers were dispatched to the scene shortly after 6:45 a.m. after receiving reports of a motorcyclist who was down and unresponsive.
When emergency responders arrived, Kruppenbacher was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators indicated that another vehicle was involved in the crash.
The driver of the second vehicle remained at the location and has been cooperating with authorities as they continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Officials have not released additional details and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward with information as the investigation remains ongoing.
