Officials have identified Timothy Duane Crenshaw, a 62-year-old resident of Salem, as the man who lost his life in a fiery vehicle crash in Oconee County, South Carolina.
Emergency crews were dispatched late Saturday night to Park Avenue after reports of a vehicle engulfed in flames. Upon arrival, responders discovered a burning car with a body inside the driver’s seat.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident occurred shortly after midnight when a 2004 Nissan pickup truck traveling east veered off the roadway. The vehicle struck a parked car before crashing into an embankment, which ultimately led to the fire.
Crenshaw was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities later confirmed that his son has since been notified of his passing.
Investigators are still working to determine the exact cause and manner of death, and the case remains under review.
