Authorities in Little Rock, Arkansas have identified 28-year-old Zachariah Bryson as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred late Saturday night.
Police responded to reports of gunfire on Mara Lynn Road and a wounded individual on West Markham Street shortly after 11 p.m. on April 18. When officers arrived, they found Bryson suffering from gunshot injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Officials say his body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the official cause and manner of death.
Following witness interviews and a review of surveillance footage, investigators arrested 28-year-old Maicio Brown in connection with the shooting. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
Police confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing as they continue to gather more information about the incident.
